Romania Offers Scholarships to Students from Pakistan

For the academic year 2024–2025, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced scholarships in an effort to provide Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) students with greater access to higher education.

These scholarships, which were started by the Romanian government, are intended to help students at the University of Politehnica pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering and information technology, respectively.

The University of Politehnica Bucharest offers master’s degrees in subjects such

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Energy Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Telecommunication and Information Technology
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Transportation Engineering
  • Computer & Information Technology
  • System Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Applied Engineering Science
  • Engineering and Management.

Applicants who do not have their degrees completed at the time of application closing are not eligible, according to the eligibility criteria.

Candidates for master’s programmes must be under 35 years old and have completed a bachelor’s degree (16 years), while candidates for doctoral programmes must have completed a master’s degree (17/18 years) and be under 40 years old.

All applicants must also provide a valid HAT exam result, and HEC has the authority to change the requirements for nomination.

It is recommended that students apply online using the HEC site, choosing the “University of Politehnica Scholarship” option after creating a profile. It is necessary to submit additional online applications using the web page of the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. May 3, 2024 is the deadline for submitting an online application through the HEC portal.
