The University of Home Economics has decided to award research awards to university employees who write research articles, amending its research awards policy. Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fariha Zahra Kazmi, the University’s Finance and Planning Committee presented the agenda to award research awards to employees in its meeting.
In the meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee, all members unanimously approved the decision to grant research awards to employees who write research articles. This marks the first time that employees are being awarded research awards at the University of Home Economics. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fariha Zahra Kazmi mentioned that upon publication of a research article, up to Rs. 25,000 will be awarded, and these awards will be given according to the categories of research journals.
She explained that a research award of up to one hundred thousand rupees will be given for the publication of research articles within a year. Dr. Fariha Zahra Kazmi stated that awarding research awards will boost the morale of Ph.D. and M.Phil administrative officers, and supervising employees writing research articles is a responsibility of the university.
