Home Economics University hosted its first-ever auto show, showcasing environmentally friendly vehicles for female students

The University of Home Economics organized an exhibition of environmentally friendly bikes, cycles, and rickshaws for female students. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fariha Zahra Kazmi examined the electric vehicles during the exhibition. The event was attended by Secretary Women Development Samira Samad, SP Punjab Police Saeeda Shahbano, Director Auto Motive UET Dr. Ali Kazim, Ms. Faheeda, a human creator, and a large number of female students.

Electric bikes, electric cycles, and electric rickshaws were displayed at the auto show held at Home Economics University. Secretary Samira Samad rode an electric bike on the university grounds, while the Vice-Chancellor rode an electric rickshaw.

Addressing the audience at the Auto Motive Congress held at Home Economics University with the collaboration of UET, Samira Samad stated that the Punjab government is empowering women, and motorbikes are being distributed to female students on easy installments. She mentioned that the government is working on projects with various companies to manufacture environmentally friendly vehicles. Speaking at the conference, Dr. Fariha Zahra Kazmi highlighted the significance of the first-ever auto show in the history of Home Economics University. She appreciated the inclusion of environmentally friendly bikes, cycles, and rickshaws by companies in the exhibition. She emphasized that by adopting alternative energy sources, serious issues like smog in Lahore can be easily addressed. The Vice-Chancellor mentioned that the department of Textile and Interior Design at Home Economics University will collaborate with the auto industry, working on innovative designs based on modernity.
