What is Zumba?

Zumba is a fitness program that involves cardio plus Latin-inspired dance. Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto Beto Perez introduced it in 2001. It become highly popular in 2012.

Today there are numerous trainers you can choose from and a great variety of online platforms you can benefit from.

Personally, I highly enjoy it. It is very energizing and gives you a good start to the day but of course after your morning prayers!

Zumba can have several benefits:

Before starting, do consult your doctor/physician because similar to aerobics, Zumba is intense and may not be suitable for people with specific health issues like back pain, joint pain, heart issues and seniors who are not used to doing exercises from a young age.
