Students at Arid University Are Expelled Due to Harassment

Three students from the Food and Science Technology department at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University have been dismissed by the vice chancellor after an investigation into claims of sexual harassment made by two students at the university’s government hostel.

The university’s Discipline Committee, which has released an official notification about the situation, made suggestions that served as the basis for the judgement.

The disciplinary committee concluded its inquiry, the university administration said, and recommended that three students be expelled and have their degrees, enrollments, and results revoked.

Muneeb Ahmed, Muhammad Aneeb Ayaz, and Saad Wahab, the expelled students, were in their last semester at the Food Science and Technology Department. They were taken into custody by the Sadiqabad police, and a complaint had already been filed against them.

The expelled students now have the opportunity to challenge the ruling thanks to the University Inquiry Committee. According to university sources, the three students belonged to a political group on campus.
