During exams, NEPRA orders an uninterrupted power supply.
According to a recent notice from the authority, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has mandated that all power distribution companies ensure a “uninterrupted” power supply during the national test period.
According to NEPRA, load shedding should not occur during the national exams in order to avoid having a negative effect on students’ academic achievement.
The regulatory agency informed all energy distribution companies of these directives. During the national exam, NEPRA stressed the significance of having a “uninterrupted power supply.”
It also threatened to take “regulatory action” if noncompliance was not met.
NEPRA released a statement saying, “It has come to the notice of NEPRA… that distribution companies have been carrying out load shedding during exam sessions.” The statement went on, “This practice has caused significant disruptions for students appearing in exams, especially during the length of their exam papers.”
