UMT President and Chairman Sign Memorandum of Understanding with Muslim World League to Advance Girls’ Education

Under the inspiring direction of its Chairman and President, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, the University of Management and Technology (UMT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Muslim World League (MWL) in a historic step to improve educational possibilities.

The signing event was attended by Saudi Ambassador H.E. Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malki, Professor Sajjad Qamar, and Secretary General of the Muslim World League H.E. Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al Isa.

With an emphasis on marginalised groups confronting cultural and economic obstacles, the pact seeks to support cooperative efforts to advance girls’ education in Muslim communities.

Offering scholarships to female students from underprivileged communities, conducting capacity-building programs to ensure sustainable educational development, launching community outreach initiatives in partnership with local schools and organisations, and using education to promote the values of tolerance, peace, and cultural harmony are all part of the strategic partnership outlined in the agreement.

This Memorandum of Understanding underscores UMT‘s steadfast dedication to promoting social justice and academic quality, which is consistent with its mission to uplift marginalised people via empowerment and knowledge. It also emphasises MWL’s commitment to tackling educational inequalities in order to counter extremism and advance world peace.

Ibrahim Hasan Murad highlighted the transforming power of education, especially for girls, in creating inclusive societies in his remarks on the occasion. He claimed that this collaboration is evidence of our mutual conviction that education is a potent instrument for advancement and peace.

By addressing global issues through advocacy and education, UMT and MWL’s partnership demonstrates a concerted attempt to deepen relationships between academic institutions and international organisations.
