The upcoming heatwave has caused changes to school and college schedules.
With effect from May 20, 2024, until further notice, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has notified all educational institutions under its jurisdiction of the new schedule.
The notice states that single-shift facilities would be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. The hours on Friday are 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The morning shift for the double-shift institutions will run from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. The day will end at 12:00 pm on Friday.
Monday through Thursday, the evening shift will start at 1:00 pm and end at 6:00 pm. On Friday, however, courses at educational institutions will begin at 2:00 pm and end at 6:00 pm.
Pre-I (Montessori / Prep): Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
Former FG Colleges: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 1:00 pm / 4:00 pm; Friday, 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.
The decision was made in light of the heatwave that is expected to occur next week.
