Punjab Sets Summer Break Dates for Colleges and Schools
The Punjab state education minister has released the summer break timetable for schools and institutions as the intense heatwave continues.
Details indicate that educational institutions anticipate summer vacations will run more than two months, following a similar pattern to the previous year.
The summer vacation will start on June 7, 2024, and end on August 19, 2024, according to the minister of education. In the coming weeks, a communication in this regard is anticipated from the Education Department.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had earlier issued a warning, stating that June’s high temperature is predicted to be 49.5 degrees Celsius. In addition, August may have a top temperature of 48.63 degrees Celsius.
