The administration declared on Thursday that because of the approaching general elections, educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) will also be closed from February 6 to February 9, 2024.

The province’s public and private schools, colleges, and institutions would all be closed during this time, the provincial government declared in a notification. The Education Department reports that polling places for the elections on February 8 have been set up inside school facilities. During this time, staff members and teachers will also be doing election-related tasks.

In anticipation of the approaching general elections, the governments of Sindh and Punjab had previously declared that educational institutions would be closed from February 6 to 9. Additionally, the federal capital’s educational institutions will close from February 6 to 9, according to a Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training announcement.
