Punjab Modifies the Free Laptop Program’s Requirements
With a promise to give them computers, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has good news for students who receive more than 65% of the possible points.
The news was made on Wednesday at Government College Women’s University in Sialkot during the Honhaar Scholarship distribution ceremony.
The first shipment of laptops has now arrived, according to CM Maryam Nawaz, who further emphasised that she has personally selected the highest-quality laptops for the worthy pupils. Laptops will be given to any student who scores more than 65%. “I will personally give them to you shortly,” she said.
Plans to improve the Honhaar Scholarship program were also presented by her. In the budget for the following year, the 30,000 scholarships that are currently given out each year will rise by 20,000 to 50,000. Second and third-year students will also be included to the curriculum.
The chief minister also revealed another significant project: 100,000 e-bikes will be given away to Punjabi students at no cost.
Maryam Nawaz told the students to maintain their concentration and not let critics divert them. According to her, “Pakistan is our red line, and we must remain loyal to our homeland.”
She denounced the accusations made against her political rivals, saying, “They called others thieves, but a case involving 190 million pounds is filed against them.” The young people must promise to remain steadfast and never act against the nation.
CM Maryam Nawaz had earlier emphasised the value of education and unity at the Honhaar Scholarship launch at Islamia University Bahawalpur, stressing that enmity only serves to harm society. “We need to eradicate hatred and create a community that is educated and inclusive,” she stated.
The CM Punjab Laptop Scheme’s first shipment of laptops has arrived and will be delivered shortly, she added.
