Sindh Prohibits Private Schools from Adding Extra Fees for Matric Students
The Sindh government has ordered private schools to stop charging matric students taking examinations this year for June and July fees. Rafia Javed, Additional Director of Private Schools Karachi, disclosed that matric students had complained about private schools requesting advance payments for June and July.
According to the directive, matric students who have exams in March 2025 will only have to pay fees through April 2025. The additional director cautioned that schools who break this rule will be subject to severe consequences.
Primary through ninth-grade students are still required to pay their June and July fees. Payments for these months must be made before the end of July 2025, and fee vouchers will be sent out in April and May.
The goal of this approach is to ensure compliance from private schools throughout Sindh while addressing the concerns of matric students and their families.
