An international seminar on AI in medicine is held at FJMU.
In partnership with the UK’s Fatima Jinnah Medical College Alumni Association, Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) held an international symposium on artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine.
The event, which was sponsored by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, demonstrated the university’s dedication to expanding medical knowledge and encouraging global cooperation.
Prominent attendees at the conference included Federal Tax Ombudsman and Head of Customs Healthcare Society Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah, as well as former Punjab Health Minister Prof. Javed Akram. Prominent global medical professionals attended the event, including representatives of the UK Alumni Association, and exchanged ideas on AI applications in medicine and other important health-related subjects.
VC Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone in attendance and emphasised the value of teamwork in addressing global health issues.
He hailed Prof. Javed Akram and Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah as role models for their exceptional humanitarian and public health accomplishments.
Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah emphasised the value of sincerity and kindness while urging students to have a positive outlook and take part in humanitarian action.
Prof. Javed Akram praised the university for promoting important medical institutions in Pakistan and underlined the importance of moral character in the medical field.
In his enlightening talk on “Career Counselling in the UK as an International Medical Graduate,” Dr. Daniyal Saeed gave prospective physicians excellent advice.
Other sessions, which featured distinguished speakers from Pakistan and beyond, addressed issues including gender equality, maternal mortality reduction, AI in medicine, and high-quality medical education.
In a lively poster competition held throughout the seminar, students demonstrated their originality and proficiency in community medicine.
After looking over the exhibits, the faculty members gave the students props for their creative work.
Winners received certificates and cash rewards, which encouraged them to keep up their good work.
The faculty at FJMU, under the direction of Principal Prof. Abdul Hameed and Chairperson Prof. Ayesha Malik, were credited with making the event a success.
At the closing ceremony, which marked the event’s high point, the distinguished guest speakers received shields as a token of gratitude for their invaluable contributions.
