Scotland: Applications Are Now Open Pakistan Scholarships 2024–2025 for Young Girls and Women
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls, offered by the British Council, is now accepting applications. This scholarship supports Pakistani women pursuing bachelor’s and master’s/MPhil degrees at any university in the country that has earned HEC recognition.
These Scottish Government-funded awards are intended to increase women’s access to higher education and assist them in realising their potential and aspirations. The British Council oversees the program in Pakistan and works directly or through designated university focal persons to organise with specific academics and universities. Maarya Rehman, the Deputy Director of the British Council in Pakistan, stated:
“The Scottish Scholarship Scheme is a vital part of our work in supporting the educational aspirations of young women and girls in Pakistan. We are supporting them to gain the skills, confidence, and connections that will help to transform their lives and shape a better and more prosperous Pakistan.”
The scholarship will pay for a four-year bachelor’s degree or a two-year master’s/MPhil in one of the following subjects at a Pakistani university accredited by the HEC:
Sustainable Energy Education
Agriculture, Food Security, Health Sciences, and STEM (only for master’s students)
Applications for these scholarships are solely accepted from women. Furthermore, candidates need to:
be citizens of Pakistan who are presently living in Pakistan
be pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree or a two-year master’s degree in the subjects mentioned above.
possess a verified offer of admission from a Pakistani university accredited by the HEC
Applications are welcomed from young women with impairments, from minority groups, and from rural locations.
