Expert workshop on advanced ophthalmological techniques is hosted by UVAS.
In partnership with Abid Pet Clinic, the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organised a one-day training course on ophthalmological techniques in Lahore.
The workshop’s first session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus, and participants received certificates from renowned veterinary surgeon Prof. Dr. Mazhar Iqbal at the workshop’s final session.
Proffesor Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, prominent veterinarian Rana Akmal, and a number of academic staff and students were in attendance. Dr. Abid Hussain, the chief executive officer of Abid Pet Clinic, served as the resource person and gave the attendees an educational lecture.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus urged attendees to gain focus and learn the most recent practical information and skills from recognised pet practitioners regarding ophthalmologic procedures, as this will enhance the profession’s practical competencies. He also praised the organisers for setting up the educational workshop on the subject.
According to Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, these subjects were only added to the DVM curriculum to cover a gap in response to contemporary demands. She said that veterinary practitioners may always count on UVAS to provide them with technical support. “I think this workshop will be beneficial, especially for learning new information & enhancing the practical experience as well,” she stated.
During the training session, a number of topics pertaining to the presentation and demonstration of normal eye structure were covered.
