Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, has stated that every effort is being made to protect women and children. She made this statement on Monday in Lahore at a meeting with British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott.

The British envoy was briefed by Maryam Nawaz regarding the creation of the first virtual police station for women and virtual centre for child safety.
In the meantime, Punjab Governor Sardari Salim Haider Khan was visited by British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott in Lahore, and they had a conversation about how to address the problems caused by climate change.
The governor informed the high commissioner that Punjabi universities had switched to solar power. He said that despite its small contribution to climate change, Pakistan has suffered the most from it.
