Punjab’s School Hours to change back to normal for 1st February,2024.
The Punjab provincial education department said that all schools would reopen on February 1, 2024, at regular times. The province’s schools will return to their regular timetables on January 31, officially ending the winter schedule, according to the education administration.
The education department declared earlier this month that the winter schedule for schools across the province will be extended through January 31st. The letter states that the province’s winter schedule extensions for public and private schools would last until January 31, 2024. Timings will return to normal on February 1, 2024. Up until January 31, schools were supposed to run on a modified timetable, which called for weekday operations from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm and Friday operations from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The provincial education department announced new winter schedules for public and private schools in Lahore last year. Official notice states that boys’ schools would be open Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. The schools will be open from 8:30 am until 12:15 pm on Friday without a break. Conversely, girls’ schools in the province capital will open Monday through Thursday from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm. Every Friday, they will close at 12:00 p.m.
In other developments, rumors circulating on social media suggest that the February 8 General Election may force schools all around the nation to close for longer than a week. According to sources, schools will be closed on Sunday, February 4, and on February 5 in observance of Kashmir Day. After that, they are anticipated to be closed from February 6 to February 10 for the election. In addition, schools will remain closed on Sunday, February 11, and reopen on Monday, February 12. Officials haven’t yet confirmed these news, though.
