Punjab announces more vacations time for students up to grade one.
Due to the prevailing chilly weather and cold wave in the province, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has declared an extra week-long winter holiday for pupils up to grade 1.
Naqvi issued an order to postpone all of this month’s exams after pneumonia claimed the lives of numerous children in the province.
According to the Chief Minister, Punjab’s schools will be shuttered for an additional week. Eight out of ten children are said to be suffering from pneumonia, according to Mohsin Naqvi, who made this statement during an emergency meeting at Children’s Hospital in Lahore today.
In addition, he pointed out that a good portion of the dead children are babies, younger than six months.
Recall that Naqvi declared earlier this week that there would be no more extension of winter holidays for schools and colleges in Punjab.
