Lahore Board Adds Barcodes to Result Cards for Enhanced Security
In a move to enhance the security of academic records, the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has introduced barcodes on result cards for the 2024 Inter Supplementary Examinations. This step follows the guidance of Muzammil Mahmood, Chairman of the Task Force Committee, and is part of a larger plan to incorporate barcodes on roll number slips for both Matriculation and Intermediate exams by 2025.
The idea, championed by Secretary Lahore Board Rizwan Nazir, aims to improve security and reduce the influence of the “booti mafia,” ensuring a more transparent and fair examination process. Barcodes are already being used on certificates, result cards, and roll number slips, making the system more secure and easier to verify.
