All of the applicants who had concerns about the process used to designate permanent principals in government colleges were called in by the Higher Education Department (HED).
About 200 applicants sent the appropriate officials written complaints. Written complaints were raised by both male and female candidates.

Their objections will be heard by the Special Secretary of the District Education Department (DED). According to sources, applicants’ issues would be addressed one at a time.

The applicants will be heard during the committee’s first meeting on January 27, 2025.

It is important to note that on January 10, 2025, the Higher Education Department began the process of selecting permanent principals for government colleges.
