QR Codes Are Introduced by the Lahore Board for Immediate Document Verification
A new QR Code method has been used by the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) to streamline the academic document verification process.
As part of this endeavour, BISE Lahore will include a unique QR code on all of its certificates, result cards, and roll number slips. Employers and educational institutions can more easily verify the legitimacy of papers by scanning these codes for fast online verification.
By guaranteeing a quicker and more trustworthy verification process, the method seeks to address the rising problem of phoney degrees.
Separately, a dispute about falsified 2024 intermediate exam results has caused turmoil for the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK). Significant discontent has resulted from the incident, especially among pre-medical and pre-engineering students who reported surprisingly poor grades.
Many students have demanded a comprehensive review of their findings, sparking protests.
In reaction to the controversy, BIEK’s chairman was fired. In order to handle the situation and rebuild trust in the testing system, Sharaf Ali Shah, who is currently in charge of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), has been named as the acting chairman of BIEK.
