An awareness walk on road safety was organized at the University of Sargodha!

An awareness walk on road safety was organized at the University of Sargodha under the Department of Communication and Media Studies. The event, held on Wednesday, aimed to raise awareness about traffic laws and road safety among the community, particularly students, faculty, and staff.

The walk was conducted under the subject of Development Communication, which teaches students strategies to address social issues. DSP Punjab Highway Patrol Sargodha, Muhammad Yusuf Cheema, participated as a special guest, while Chairman of the Department of Communication and Media Studies, Dr. Mudassar Hussain Shah, Consultant Human Resource Development Center, Khurshid Yusuf, Project Supervisor Miss Ayesha Kiran, and Deputy Director Multimedia Development Center, Hassan Raza Hashmi, along with many students, also took part.

During the walk, students carried placards highlighting the importance of road safety rules such as wearing seat belts, wearing helmets, observing speed limits, and avoiding mobile phone use while driving. Speakers emphasized that by following traffic rules, we can not only protect our lives but also ensure the safety of others. This walk was an important effort to raise public awareness about road safety to reduce accident rates and build a safer society.
