Ibrahim Murad, who continues to focus on youth empowerment, becomes the youngest chairman of a university.

The University of Management and Technology’s (UMT) president, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, has been named chairman of the UMT Board of Governors and ILM Trust.

Murad is now the youngest chairman of the university. The steadily growing size of the ILM fund scholarships is evidence of Murad’s continued commitment on young empowerment and enablement during his tenure as UMT president.

37,000 students around Pakistan have benefited from PKR 13 billion in scholarships made possible by the ILM fund under his direction.

Murad reaffirmed UMT’s dedication to developing a research-driven higher education system in Pakistan after his appointment. He emphasised UMT’s outstanding contributions to enabling the next generation, saying that by equipping young people to meet the challenges of the future, the university was actively tackling national issues and promoting constructive social change.

Murad went on to say that UMT was generating future leaders and businesspeople for a better Pakistani future and that he was certain the university will soon rank among the best in the world. He stated that his goal was to elevate UMT and the ILM Trust to new heights.

The UMT family congratulated Murad on this esteemed appointment, as did the ILM Trust’s leadership and members.
