Reaction to the increase in fees for the FA and FSC exams
Admission fees for the forthcoming annual Intermediate examinations for the Faculty of Arts (FA) and the Faculty of Science (FSC), which are set to start on April 22, 2025, have increased significantly, according to the Education Boards.
Both regular and private students will be impacted by this change, which requires that entrance fees and the admission form be submitted online.
Both parents and students are disappointed and concerned about the abrupt and significant increase in fees.

January 24, 2025, is the deadline for online admissions with the single cost. Students may still apply after this period, but they will be charged twice between January 25 and February 3 and three times between February 4 and February 12. Up to ten days prior to the tests, students may also submit their admission with a threefold price and a Rs. 500 daily punishment.
The All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA) President, Abrar Ahmed Khan, has vehemently objected to the tuition increase and demanded a change.
He voiced his worry that students were already facing a heavy financial strain from the previous rise in matriculation fees and that this FA fee increase was unreasonable.
Khan cautioned that the increase in fees would deter private students from taking the intermediate examinations, especially women.
