Female students are forced to continue their education at Girls Commerce College Mardan.
Female students are forced to continue their education at Girls Commerce College since Pakistan’s first government Girls Cadet College in Mardan is operating without a building.
The KP government allotted 240 kanals of land for the development of the Girls Cadet College building, and construction on the new Mardan Girls Cadet facility began in 2017.
Additionally, more than Rs2 billion was authorized by the province government to develop the Girls Cadet College building. However, the Girls Cadet College building was still under construction after three years had passed. Parents of the female pupils voiced their displeasure with the new building’s construction.
They urged the provincial government to set aside a specific amount for holding the ISSB exam in the college’s new facility.
According to the secretary of elementary and secondary education, the province government has already approved Rs 100 million for the Cadet College’s construction.
The secretary of education went on to state that they had received a new application for an extra grant of Rs 350 million, which will also be issued shortly.
