Punjab University Law College No Longer Accepts New Students
Due to unfulfilled regulatory requirements, the Pakistan Bar Council has prohibited Punjab University Law College in Lahore from accepting new LLB students.
The college’s failure to register law students with the Pakistan Bar Council led to the decision. Major concerns were also raised about the legal research lab’s poor facilities and the classrooms’ declining state.
Additionally, the council pointed out that the college does not give its law tutors non-practicing allowances. Barrister Osama Malik, the Director of Legal Education, found several anomalies in the organisation during an inspection.
Before accepting new students, the college administration has been directed by the Pakistan Bar Council to resolve these problems.
