Google introduces a new App to teach English to children.
Google has introduced a new app to teach children English. Google has launched an application called Read Along for elementary school students. This app was initially introduced in India as “Bolo” on an experimental basis. The aim of this app is to teach children English through their native language. Initially, the app was available only in Hindi and English, but it is now available in several languages.
Google says that more languages will be added soon. Currently, children can learn English in nine languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, and Urdu.
Now, this application is available in 180 countries. With the help of this app, children can learn to read while playing. Once installed, the app can be used offline as well.
The app identifies spoken words and matches them with the written words in the app, pointing out mistakes. Google states that the analysis of the recorded voice is done on the device itself and is not sent to the server.
