Punjab Relaxes School Students’ Uniform Regulations

Students can now wear warm clothing of any colour or style to defend themselves from the severe winter weather according to a temporary modification of the school uniform standards announced by the Punjab School Education Department.

The agency announced in an official notification that students in public and private schools can now stay warm by wearing their preferred coats, coats, sweaters, jackets, socks, and shoes. This policy modification will be in effect immediately and last until February 28, 2025.

The move was made in response to Punjab’s extreme cold wave, which has forced officials to put pupils’ comfort and health first. The Education Department made it clear that the only goal of this action is to protect kids from the harsh winter conditions.

The government hopes to guarantee that pupils may go to school without endangering their health since they are not adequately protected from the cold by relaxing the uniform standards.

Punjab is experiencing an exceptionally harsh winter this year, just like many other areas. Parents and educators have largely praised the action, viewing it as a thoughtful and sensible reaction to the current weather.
