Collaboration between UET Lahore and Pink Ribbon Pakistan
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between ZEMAL Society UET and Pink Ribbon Pakistan to raise awareness about breast cancer and take steps towards women’s health. The agreement aims to promote joint awareness campaigns, educational workshops, research projects, and collaboration for the completion of Pakistan’s first dedicated breast cancer hospital, which will provide treatment facilities to 40,000 patients annually.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of UET, Dr. Shahid Munir, stated that UET takes pride in partnering with Pink Ribbon to use the skills of its faculty and students to create a social impact in addressing this critical health issue in the country. The MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir and CEO of Pink Ribbon, Umar Aftab, in the presence of ZEMAL Society’s advisor Dr. Rehana Sharif, Registrar Muhammad Asif, Director of External Linkages Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, President of ZEMAL Society Mahira Khalid, and others.
Through this collaboration, the institutions will work together to educate the community, empower women, and provide health services. Professor Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that UET is committed to improving women’s health and saving lives.
