The CM Honahar Scholarship Program Registration Period Begins
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched a Rs. 130 billion scholarship program for students, for which registration is now open.
In this regard, university information desks have been established, and students studying 68 different disciplines and subjects will be eligible to apply for the Honhar Scholarship.
It may be noted here that 30,000 students would be awarded scholarships annually, overseen by Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Students at 50 public sector universities in Punjab would receive scholarships under this initiative. Scholarships within undergraduate degree programs will be awarded for four to five years. Meanwhile, the students’ eligibility will be assessed using 30% of their Matric and 70% of their Intermediate results.
Under the Honahar Scholarship, students’ full tuition costs would be covered. The scholarship is open to Punjabi citizens under the age of 22 with annual incomes under Rs. 3 lakh. Students pursuing an MBBS or BDS are also qualified for the award.
