Government to increase stipend for Benazir Educational Scholarships
Beginning in January 2025, the government intends to increase the number of Benazir Educational Scholarships.
Details indicate that this system will help almost six million kids, with mothers whose children are enrolled in preschool through 12th grade receiving the payment.
Parents were instructed by the government to register for the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) as soon as possible.
Following the increase, the parents of a girl student will receive Rs2,000, and the parents of a boy student would receive Rs2,500.
Male and female secondary school students would receive stipends of Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 3,500, respectively.
Higher school male students will receive a stipend of Rs. 3,500, while female students would receive Rs. 400.
Additional payment of Rs. 3,000 would be given to parents of students whose kids finish primary school.
