Oman will host the opening of a new Pakistan International School branch.
Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) will develop a new branch of Pakistan International School in Muscat to give the quality of education to the children of expatriates in Oman.
According to an official source who spoke with APP here on Wednesday, Pakistanis living abroad are the nation’s greatest asset and should be given access to all resources for the growth and prosperity of the nation.
Because to the favourable policies of the current government, the growing remittance ratio, and the gradual reduction of inflationary pressure, the role of expatriates in the national economy is akin to the backbone of the nation.
He stated that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked in this regard when the Federal Minister of Pakistan visited Oman recently and both nations decided to assist Pakistani workers there.
He stressed that due to hard work Pakistani labour is highly popular around the Globe and earns large amount on regular basis.
According to him, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis was modernising Pakistan’s technical training facilities to teach workers in accordance with national and regional certification requirements.
He announced that the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis would begin a mandatory pre-departure orientation program for all workers travelling overseas. This program would teach workers about the host country’s labour laws, their rights and responsibilities as workers, the host country’s cultural nuances, and the procedures for reprieve in the event of an emergency.
