Scholarships to Study in Mauritania Announced for Pakistani Students

In an effort to fortify relations and expand scientific competence in Mauritania, COMSTECH—the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation—has established research fellowships for scientists, students, and institutions in the country.

These research fellowships are being offered under the Joint Science and Technology Capacity Building Program by COMSTECH and the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation, Mauritania, according to an official source.

COMSTECH and Mauritania have a long-standing fraternal friendship, and this program will enhance their scientific collaboration even more.

Young researchers and early-stage scientists and engineers in Mauritania will be eligible to apply for Research Fellowships under the COMSTECH-Mauritania Program, which will allow them to spend six months at a relevant centre of excellence at many listed institutions of OIC member states, particularly Pakistan.

These fellowships are intended to support promising Mauritanianian researchers and engineers in their early stages of their careers by enhancing their research and development capabilities and assisting them in building connections for future collaboration in their respective fields.

In addition to this program, academics and students in Mauritania can take part in other COMSTECH initiatives that are introduced and promoted on the organization’s website and social media accounts.
In a similar vein, Mauritania’s research and development institutions might work with COMSTECH Centre of Excellence institutions to exchange resources, technology, information, and skills in order to strengthen their capacity and come up with solutions.

The last date for application submission will be December 10 and all the details of the program are available at the web link: https://comstech.org/comstech-mauritania-program-nov-2023/.
