FBISE and LUMS are organising the Pakistan Math Olympiad.
In order to introduce the Pakistan Mathematics Olympiad (PMO), the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) and the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) have declared a strategic cooperation.
As part of this partnership, LUMS has painstakingly created an extensive curriculum that is especially suited for the PMO. In order to help students prepare even more, a sample question paper that offers important information about the structure and level of difficulty of the competition has been created.
Students from all educational streams in Pakistan who are enrolled in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or O Level, Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or A Level, or similar qualifications, are eligible to apply to the PMO. Students from a variety of educational backgrounds will be able to join and display their mathematical abilities on a national level thanks to this inclusive approach.
High scorers will get outstanding rewards from the PMO, including cash awards, medals, computers, and scholarships for admission to Pakistan’s best colleges, in an effort to promote proficiency in mathematics. These rewards are intended to encourage a culture of academic innovation and excellence by inspiring the next generation of critical thinkers and problem solvers.
The FBISE website will be the only place to register for the Pakistan Mathematics Olympiad starting in mid-September 2024. To take advantage of this exceptional chance to compete at the top level and be recognised nationally for their mathematical talent, students are urged to register as soon as possible.
