Punjab’s Hundreds of Colleges Are Now Receiving Principals
To improve the management of universities around the province, the Punjab government has started the process of selecting 400 principals for public colleges.
Both male and female candidates are welcome to apply through the online portal that the Higher Education Department (HED) has opened for applications for these esteemed jobs. The gateway went live on August 30 and will be accessible until September 10 at 5 p.m.

Candidates will be scored on a number of criteria, including their educational background (10 points) and annual confidential reports (ACRs), which are worth 20 points, in accordance with the standards that Dawn obtained. Applicants who have served within the last two years are not eligible to apply for the role of principal. Furthermore, officers who are presently employed in administrative capacities will not be qualified until their current term is less than three months away.
HED has further said that teachers and librarians with grades below the position for which they are applying would not be accepted, with the exception of associate’s and graduate school applicants in specific circumstances.
