Agreement between the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar and Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar and Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology, Nawabshah Sindh, have signed an agreement. The agreement was signed by Vice Chancellor of UET Peshawar, Professor Dr. Qaiser Ali, and Professor Dr. Saleem Raza Samo of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology, Nawabshah.
Director Dr. Nasrullah Minallah provided a detailed briefing on the agreement, while Dr. Safdar Nawaz Khan Marwat informed about the various programs and resources of UET Peshawar. The purpose of the agreement is to promote research and resource sharing under which both institutions will exchange resources and various technical skills, benefiting both students and faculty and enhancing research.
Professor Dr. Qaiser Ali welcomed the Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology, Nawabshah, and appreciated their efforts. He emphasized the need to address the lack of resource sharing in universities. He highlighted UET Peshawar’s Earthquake Engineering Center, which houses the second-largest shake table in Asia. He stressed the necessity of resource sharing between universities and assured full cooperation in this regard. Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology, Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, agreed to collaborate with UET Peshawar. He introduced various programs and facilities at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology, Nawabshah.
He proposed a student semester exchange program, faculty exchange, and cultural exchange. He appreciated the efforts of Professor Dr. Tahir Khan and Dr. Shehzad Anwar in making this agreement possible. Secretary of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research UET, Professor Dr. Hameedullah, emphasized the need for collaboration between educational institutions for the exchange of resources and research to promote research. He said that resource sharing would provide learning opportunities for faculty and students.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Rizwan Mahmood Gul, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Dr. Syed Waqar Shah, Dean, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Professor Dr. Siraj-ul-Islam, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Allied Sciences, Professor Dr. Misbahullah, Advisor Finance, Dr. Khizr Azam Khan, Registrar UET Peshawar, and other senior officials were also present.
