Scholarships Given to Offspring of Police Victims

The children of police martyrs in several districts, including Lahore, would receive educational scholarships of Rs12.5 million, according to the Inspector General of Police (IG). The purpose of these scholarships is to help the children of courageous officers who died while performing their duties pursue higher education.

A total of Rs 2 million has been set aside expressly for the children of Lahore police martyrs. The families of martyrs from other districts receive the remaining cash at the same time. The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP), traffic police, special branch, Punjab Constabulary, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and telecommunication units are among the police formations that are covered by this project.

The Inspector General underlined the police department’s dedication to the well-being of the families of its workers, revealing that this year over Rs1 billion will be set aside for the children of police personnel to get educational help. The department’s commitment to remembering police personnel and making sure their offspring may go to college is demonstrated by this large expenditure.

The scholarships are a part of a larger initiative to offer cops’ families all-encompassing support, understanding the vital role these families play in sustaining the officers’ sacrifices and service. It is anticipated that the educational scholarships will considerably lessen the financial load on the families, enabling the kids to concentrate on their schooling and potential jobs.
