GIKI and NAVTTC Declare Opening of New Training Facility

A tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) has brought together the Ministry of Federal Education, the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK Institute), and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to establish a new training centre in Islamabad.

The goal of the agreement, which was signed by the Executive Director of NAVTTC, the Rector of GIK Institute, and the Federal Secretary of Education, is to foster cooperative partnerships. The participants believe the new training centre will greatly enhance the academic landscape by serving as a hub for cutting edge research, experiential learning, and professional development programmes.

Moreover, they think it will support the country’s socioeconomic development by generating highly qualified graduates prepared to face the problems of the twenty-first century.

Mohiuddin Wani emphasised that this programme offers a path for close cooperation between the federal ministry and the GIK Institute and is consistent with the Prime Minister’s educational goals for 2024. The purpose of the MoU is to increase job prospects for the nation’s educated youth by offering training in modern IT subjects.
