HEC announces student scholarships to Morocco

Through the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the Moroccan Agency of International Cooperation (AMCI) has made scholarships available to Pakistani/AJK students to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees in Moroccan public higher education institutions.

“All applicants are required to provide the valid HAT or USAT test score,” stated the official sources. For additional information, candidates without a valid HAT or USAT test score should visit the Education Testing Council website.

But for Masters and PhD programmes, the HAT test score matters, and for bachelor’s programmes, the USAT test score. The sources further stated that HEC retains the authority to alter or amend the nomination requirements.

Details indicate that an undergraduate programme requires a minimum of 12 years of schooling (FSC/A-level) and a maximum age of 23 years. whereas a Master’s programme requires at least 16 years of studying in pertinent subjects.

Nonetheless, in order to be admitted to the relevant Moroccan university’s PhD programme, applicants must have completed at least eighteen years of schooling in that discipline. The applicable Moroccan university may have additional prerequisites that applicants must meet.

“Only applications for the following undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programmes will be accepted by the Moroccan government:

Agronomic and veterinary science, architecture, engineering and technological science, commercial and management science, medical studies, and paramedical science were among the fields mentioned by the sources.

Further information was provided by the sources, which stated that since French is the primary language of most training establishments in Morocco, particularly in the scientific, technical, and economic sectors, candidates who are accepted into the aforementioned institution will need to continue their French language refresher courses at an appropriate centre (Alliance Francaise, Centre Culture Francals, etc.) in their country of origin during the academic year 2024–2025.

After completing the language upgrading programme, the students who made it through the end of the linguistic training examinations and were kept in the “university training” quota would be directed onto training courses based on the order merit and scientific quality of their files.

Pupils were requested to submit their online applications here. Once you’ve registered and completed your profile, click on “Moroccan Government Scholarship Programme.”

Obtain a printed copy of the application for the applicant to sign after it has been submitted. May 10, 2024 is the deadline for submitting the online application through the HEC site.

When a student applies for a professional degree (medical, engineering, nursing, architecture, law, veterinary medicine, etc.), it is their sole responsibility to first confirm that the programme is accredited by the relevant councils, such as the Pakistan Council for Architects and Town Planners (PCATP), the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC), the Pakistan Technology Council, etc.

At this point in the application procedure, prospective applicants are not needed to provide any documents (physical copies) to HEC. The following materials must be submitted by just those who have been shortlisted. Prospective applicants are asked to put together an application dossier with the necessary information, such as a copy of the signed HEC application form, attested copies of all educational records, a copy of their CNIC, a letter of motivation from the candidate, documents attesting to their exceptional academic performance, proof of their involvement in extracurricular and volunteer activities, and a letter of recommendation highlighting the candidate’s qualities, in order to avoid any inconvenience down the road.

The doctoral thesis proposal and the dissertation/thesis required to get a master’s degree are submitted by doctorate candidates.

A clean record (Certificate of Police Clearance) that was obtained no more than six months prior to the application deadline. Every applicant must provide a medical certificate attesting to their good health. A certified medical certificate from a medical professional stating that the applicant is free of AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, C, or any other epidemic conditions.
