Pakistan’s top-ranked University of Agriculture Faisalabad is ranked 10th in Asia.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is ranked first in the nation and 56th in the world in the category of Agriculture and Forestry by QS World University Ranking 2024. It is ranked 10th in Asia. This year, it has increased to the tenth rank.

A spokesperson for the UAF stated on Monday that the UAF was placed 12th in Asia and 66th overall in the QS World University Ranking 2023, which was released last year.

In addition to rising in the global rankings, the UAF is becoming better at providing community services and resolving issues faced by farmers. The institution holds the unique distinction of having produced a ten-year government agricultural policy aimed at addressing issues related to agriculture and promoting prosperity and higher production. It features a robust international partnership programme that enabled real research projects to be completed.

In addition to thanking the faculty on their accomplishment, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan expressed hope that this institution will continue to play a crucial role in advancing and guaranteeing food security in the future.

As the nation’s top university, the UAF is a source of pride for both the agricultural community and the country as a whole, he said, adding that it is the only educational institution in the nation to have been listed among the top 100 universities in the world for the previous ten years.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jafar Jaskani, Director of the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization, stated that advancements had been achieved in every aspect of global quality, including academic standing, employer standing, research paper citations, H-index values, and international research networks.
