Memorandum of Understanding for giving students free petrol and electric bikes signed
The Punjab Transport Department and Bank of Punjab formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to provide 20,000 bikes to students on an installment basis.
In the presence of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Memorandum was signed.
President of Punjab Bank Zafar Masood and Transport Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the 20,000 bike project.

The Chief Minister was instructed to coordinate the bikes’ colour with the green insignia of the Punjabi administration.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM stated that student bike registration will begin as soon as feasible.
She announced that the students would receive 19,000 gas motorcycles and 1,000 electric bikes in interest-free monthly installments.
According to Maryam Nawaz, the government will consider offering students bikes in convenient payments through a partnership with Bank of Punjab.
According to the chief minister, the monthly payment for a gas-powered bike will be RS5,000, while the payment for an electric cycle will be less than RS.10,000.
Maryam Nawaz gave the order for bike deliveries to begin the same month following the draw in May.
