The University of Sargodha has inaugurated the spring tree plantation drive. The formal commencement of tree plantation was done by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Professor Dr. Qaiser Abbas, by planting a sapling in front of the Multi-Purpose Hall. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mian Ghulam Yaseen, heads of various academic and administrative departments, professors, and staff were also present in large numbers. After planting the sapling, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Qaiser Abbas said that to eliminate environmental pollution and ensure a healthy environment, we need to promote tree plantation among the younger generation, and it is our collective responsibility to raise awareness among the youth about the importance and benefits of trees.
The Vice-Chancellor further stated that everyone should strive to plant as many trees as possible in their lives, which not only benefit our health but also contribute to a beautiful environment.
On this occasion, the Director of Horticulture, Professor Dr. Rashid Mukhtar Bilal, informed the Vice-Chancellor that maximum trees are being planted in both campuses and colleges of the university to keep them green, and in this regard, students are not only being sensitized about tree plantation but are also actively participating in the plantation campaign along with their teachers. Director Students Affairs, Dr. Mahmood ul Hassan, prayed for the safety and prosperity of the beloved country.”
