Arfa Karim Tower-II Construction Ordered by CM Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz gave her approval to build the 21-story Arfa Karim Tower-II in the provincial capital on Tuesday during a meeting held in Lahore.
The CM received an update on the Lahore Film City Project, Education, and IT during the meeting. Authorities told Maryam Nawaz that interest in the IT City’s development has been expressed by big businesses like Microsoft and Oracle.
The Chief Minister gave the government instructions to invite China’s largest IT firms to establish headquarters in Punjab. She pledged to give the top IT firms in IT City business opportunities.
A deadline was established by CM Maryam for the establishment of IT City and Lahore Knowledge Park. She also gave her approval to the Lahore free Wi-Fi pilot project, directing free Wi-Fi to be provided primarily at bus stops, train stations, airports, and educational facilities.
In the next two weeks, ten Lahore venues will host the free Wi-Fi project, which aims to install free Wi-Fi stations at 516 locations.
In addition, the Chief Minister was notified that Education City Lahore will host campuses of internationally recognized international universities.
