The University of Faisalabad‘s Alpha Team is highly grateful for the services provided in Turkey last year to assist the earthquake-affected. This was expressed by the Turkish Consul General, Dermash Bastug, during his visit to the University of Faisalabad. The Turkish Consul General highlighted deep interest in mutual cooperation with renowned Turkish universities associated with the University of Faisalabad.

Consul General Dermash Bastug and Commercial Attaché Nevin Demir met with the University’s Board of Governors Chairman, Muhammad Haider Amin, Registrar Zahida Maqbool, and other faculty members. During this visit, Zahida Maqbool presented a detailed presentation on various developmental projects under the University, including the University Hospital, University Medical and Dental College, and Medina Foundation.

Dermash Bastug commended the University for its extensive services in the health and education sectors through the Medina Foundation. He mentioned that the Alpha Team, led by Board of Governors Chairman Muhammad Haider Amin, provided significant assistance to Turkish brothers affected by the earthquake in Turkey last year, for which the Turkish people are highly thankful.

He emphasized that without the progress of education, no country can achieve prosperity. The University of Faisalabad is playing a crucial role in empowering women through the promotion of education, especially through the Women Empowerment Program. He praised the University’s efforts in maintaining the highest standards of education and international ranking.

In return, Dermash Bastug expressed deep interest in fostering mutual cooperation with the University of Faisalabad in various fields, praising the university’s management and faculty members for their endeavors. He stated that this collaboration will contribute to further improving relations between both Islamic countries. Later, Turkish guests visited various departments, laboratories, and the library of the University, acknowledging the superior infrastructure compared to global standards. Subsequently, as part of the Green Tree Plantation campaign, Turkish guests planted trees in the University Lawn.
