Islamabad’s Private Medical College Closed Due to a Scandal Including Fake Degrees

It is sad to report about yet another Fraud being caught in the capital of Pakistan.  The Vanguard Institute of Medical and Sciences in Islamabad was closed because to accusations that its paramedical staff had fake degrees. Playing with the lives of the innocent and vulnerable is such a hideous crime and the ones doing it should never be able to get away with it.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which has filed lawsuits against the college’s management and staff, confirmed the college’s closure and canceled all admissions as well.  The closure of this college is a result of the raid which have been started in the country recently and these raids have intensified as part of a recent campaign to capture people behind such fraudulent organizations.

According to the FIA spokeswoman, the inquiry revealed a concerning pattern of cooperation between the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council and the college administration that resulted in the awarding of phony degrees. It was shocking to see that a large number of nurses with these phony college degrees were found to be employed in hospitals throughout the region. Distribution of fake degrees could have not only horrific repercussions but also cause an irreversible damage to the society.

Unsettling information is also revealed in the report, such as the discovery of a forged Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) purportedly connected to PIMS Hospital. Furthermore, it has come to light that the faculty list supplied by the college management was falsified, raising questions about the academic institution’s credibility.
