CCTV Cameras to Be Installed in Karachi Colleges for Enhanced Security

In a bid to improve security at government colleges across Karachi, the Sindh government has ordered the installation of CCTV cameras on and around college premises. This decision aims to address growing concerns about the safety of students and staff.

The Directorate of College Education Karachi Region has directed college principals to make security a top priority. A recently issued circular emphasized the importance of taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of everyone on campus.

CCTV surveillance is seen as a vital step in enhancing campus security. These cameras will monitor activities both inside and outside college grounds, helping to prevent incidents and assisting law enforcement agencies with investigations when needed.

This initiative coincides with heightened concerns about organized criminal activities in Karachi. Recently, the police blacklisted 110 domestic helpers with criminal records, sharing their photos, contact details, and addresses to alert residents. Authorities are urging people to verify the backgrounds of domestic workers before hiring, underlining the need for community vigilance.

By taking these measures, the Sindh government hopes to create a safer environment for students, staff, and residents alike.
