KP to Launch University and College Ranking System for Better Education

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department has announced a new initiative to introduce a ranking system for universities and colleges across the province.

In a meeting led by Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, officials outlined the proposed ranking criteria and how it would help elevate education standards. The minister stressed that the primary focus of this effort is to ensure students have better access to quality education.

“This ranking system will pave the way for meaningful improvements in our universities and colleges,” Afridi said, expressing optimism about the initiative’s potential impact on higher education.

As part of the plan, authorities have been instructed to gather performance data from the past three years for all institutions. This data will form the basis of the rankings, providing an accurate picture of each institution’s strengths and areas that need attention.

The move is expected to inspire colleges and universities to aim higher, ultimately benefiting students and strengthening the province’s education system.
