PPSC Introduces Key Measures to Support Candidates
The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has introduced new, inclusive measures to make its exams more accessible for all candidates, especially individuals with disabilities.
Under the updated policy, candidates with disabilities will be granted extra time during exams—15 additional minutes for tests lasting 1.5 hours and 30 extra minutes for 3-hour exams.
In a significant move, the PPSC has also eased identification requirements. Candidates without a valid ID card but holding a domicile can now take the exams. Similarly, those whose ID cards expired within the last six months will also be allowed to participate, subject to certain conditions.
These candidate-friendly updates were approved during a full commission meeting, marking a shift from the earlier policy that strictly required valid ID cards for exam participation. The changes reflect the PPSC’s commitment to creating a more accommodating and fair examination process.
