DPM/FM Dar Leads Preparatory Meeting on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities

On Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the preparatory committee for the upcoming international conference on “Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities,” scheduled to take place in Pakistan from January 11-12, 2025.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Minister for Youth Affairs Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Chairman of CDA, and other senior representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

The committee reviewed the preparations for the conference, which will focus on important topics such as the barriers to girls’ education, the social and economic benefits of educating girls, and innovative approaches to achieving education equity. The event aims to foster meaningful discussions and solutions to improve access to education for girls in Muslim communities.
