It is a counseling and psychotherapy center affiliated with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) in the United Kingdom. Therapy Works is also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).<\/p>\n

It operates in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We as a nation shy away when it comes to talking about our feelings, emotional issues, and mental health problems. At a personal level, I have come across people who say, \u201cwhy should I go to a psychiatrist, I am not mad!\u201d
\nA friend who is a psychologist responded to this,
\n\u201cWhen you have flu, cold and\/or fever, you go to a doctor for help. Similarly, when your mental health is suffering, you must seek an expert. It is an illness that is on the rise in our country and around the globe. I have patients as young as 3-year-old!\u201d<\/p>\n

“Therapy Works” estimates about 15 million Pakistanis suffer from mental illness in some capacity.<\/p>\n

The organization was established in 2007 in order to provide quality education, sensitive and creative individuals equipped with diagnostic and therapeutic tools to serve people with mental and emotional illnesses.<\/p>\n

\nThe remaining population also suffers from some kind of stress i.e. unemployment, terrorism, anger, frustration, and fear.<\/p>\n

Tahir Zahoor Ahmed, Chief Psychotherapist, is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy \u2013 UK. He is a practicing psychotherapist\/Head Tutor in Psychotherapy of UK based and accredited counseling training (CPCAB-UK).<\/p>\n

He believes emotional healing is more important than medicines in dealing with patients suffering from mental illnesses such as addiction. Through the charity-based Therapy Works Foundation, Mr.Tahir provides support to poor masses, women and silent sufferers in society.
